Who we are

I work as a Research Assistant in the Department of Experimental Psychology, University of Oxford.

I am working with Aoife on Conversations for Care bringing experience of organising campaigns with and for care experienced people around the UK. Among other activities, I curated the art exhibition at the Care Experience Conference in April, 2019. For a full list of my work, see here.

I am also a Doctoral Researcher at University of Southampton. The focus of my research is the representations of orphans and care leavers in fiction. I am examining the research through the lens of both creative and critical practice.

I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Calleva Research Centre at Magdalen College and the Department of Experimental Psychology at the University of Oxford. We work with the history department to investigate life course outcomes of people who experienced adversity in childhood.

I worked as a practitioner for nearly 10 years in NGOs and local government before making the move to research. My work and research focus on the well-being and rights of marginalised children and young people. I investigate risk and protective factors for well-being across the life span, to generate evidence for effective interventions.
